Here is my 1964 XLCH Sportster done in a 60's KR style flat- street-tracker style.
This whole bike has been gone through. Everything is gloss black fresh powder-coated. It took me about 6 months to build this bike and I paid extremely close attention to detail. Vintage OEM Harley 19" shouldered aluminum rims laced to a rear Sporty hub and a front Sporty hub with front brake. Firestone ANS 19x4.00 tires. Brand new S&S Super E carburetor, manifold, spacer block, phenolic gasket and velocity stack. Brand new Cycle Electric 12 volt generator and voltage regulator.
The best part about this bike in my opinion is that it has the famous John Penner KR rear section, KR replica exhaust, and KR Imperial ribbed primary. These are very hard to get parts and I feel they completely make this bike stand out from all of the others. It also has the OEM KR style horseshoe oil tank. Everything is 14 gauge vintage style cloth covered wire. The bike is magneto kick-start only. I have this bike dialed in big time. It usually starts the first kick with no prime kicks.
Everyone that sees it is amazed at how good it looks, how well it starts and how great it sounds when it is running. This bike starts, runs, and rides perfectly.
