34489-52 1952-1970 The early style carrier used plungers to ratchet the shifter plate. The side facing front has a square pun that sits between two springs.

Some carriers have the 34490-72 casting part number on the "anchor". This one has a square pin like the -52 part. That means this is likely the -72 or -72A version of the part.
